Dennis Hackin

Writer and producer Dennis Hackin is a prolific author of screenplays and novels.  He has been writing since he was eight years old, and has produced literature throughout his entire life. He is perhaps best known as the author of Bronco Billy, a fiction novel. Chimayo Press is proud to re-publish this charming,Western love-story for an audience of eBook readers. A dedicated story-teller, Hackin’s daily writing practice has resulted in two additional titles for Chimayo Press: Star Boy and The Captain’s Widow.  Currently, Hackin continues to write for various projects in his spare time.

Since the late 1970s, Hackin also has nurtured a relationship with the film industry. This dedication led to Hackin garnering seven writer credits and four producer credits. Hackin also produced the film-version of his novel Bronco Billy, which was directed by Clint Eastwood.

In June 2014, Hackin published Android Roy, a futuristic novel describing PKD’s first android homicide detective. The events take place in a world in which androids look down upon humans, prompting someone to start stealing human scalps and skin. Read the Q&A with Hackin here.
